Lisenia Esono arrived in Ghana in 2018 without a clear direction—only a simple goal: to complete her studies and return home. Along the way, she explored different business ventures, including a wig business, a nightclub, and an English teaching school. All of them failed, but each experience became a foundation for her understanding of business, risk, and resilience.
In 2021, a simple message to an entrepreneur became a turning point. After attending an event surrounded by individuals focused on growth, investment, and building, she was exposed to a world she knew she wanted to be part of.
From that moment, Lisenia stopped waiting for clarity and began creating it.
By 2023, she started building her own platforms, learning marketing through consistent action and real-life practice. While those close to her questioned and criticized her approach, people outside her immediate circle began to recognize her vision and support her journey.
That’s when she understood a key principle:
not everyone is the audience.

Before I became a strategist, I was the client. I invested in marketing that looked professional, sounded right, and produced almost nothing.
